Excerpt from Matthew Morrison concert review

Excerpt from Matthew Morrison concert review

[...]

Best performance of the night was a great performance of Journey’s Don’t Stop Believin’, which has become synonymous with Glee. Sadly for Morrison, the performance was by former *NSync member JC Chasez… [source]

Why does it say "sadly for Morrison"? He is the one who allowed JC to do the song knowing full well this is the song that Gleeks love more than any other and it would get the crowd insane. JC even said "that is why Matthew is such a good friend" at the end because JC knew the same thing.

It says that because it was the highlight of the whole show, meaning Matt's performance wasn't all that.

Oh dear....really? What you mean the concert in London wasnt all that and the high light was JC coming on the stage? Did i get that right? Well am sure there was a lot of people that thought Matt did a good job and that they were double excited to see JC there as well. Good though to see JC back on his home ground in USA.....hope he doesnt leave it too long to come back here again (UK that is)

Juliet : Yes, that's right. All the reviews I've read so far say the same thing.

While that is great for JC, I feel bad for Matt. Critics can be really harsh and mean. As for the part about JC, he is right, JC did a great job, and looked very happy while he was performing...

JC, yippie-yi-yay!!!
Its great to see you back on the saddle! I'm so thrilled that people are once again seeing what an awesome performer you are. You have been gone from the stage far too long. I hope you realize that that is where you still belong.
I wish you the best always! :)

A phrase to sum it up:
JC does not sing ... JC humiliates

Not wanting to speak ill of Matthew Morrison, as I admire his work in soil and glee, but he spent an hour on stage singing, and All That stuff I see on his show talking about the excellent performance of JC, not even spent 10 minutes on stage.

Fernanda, i think thats kinda harsh... I dont particularly like Morrison and the few times I watch Glee my eyes are drawn to his forehead and my brain starts to scream "Botox! Botox!" that i cant really appreciate the singing. But I'm sure he did a great job at his concert. I've read reviews that said so.
I got to admit though, after he had JC perform at his concert, I'm actually developing a slight fondness for Matthew that i might consider buying his CD. He is after all instrumental to getting JC back on stage again.

I've just now decided: I'll buy his cd as a "thank you" for seeing JC perform again :)

Ok, I'm a little late but I just watched the videos of JC @ Morrison's concert &............I just went back 10 years! God, I miss that so so much. Nothing makes me smile as much as seeing JC perform......well almost nothing, lol. He is just unbelievable!!

Ok @Bree, in no time I wanted to decrease the work of Matthew and I apologize to everyone if I expressed myself incorrectly.
What I meant by my comment was that almost all subjects I read about the presentation of Matthew, also ended up praising JC, at least in my opinion made a beautiful presentation and fast (because I wanted more and I think also wanted all of us here). Critics would say that JC just did a quick and ready participation (because the presentation was Matthew's), but it is not what happens.
And what I meant by "JC does not sing ... JC humiliates "was that I do not see JC on a stage for many years, but both at presentation with Richard Marx, as in the Matthew could see that he was in great shape, happy and comfortable, as if it never moved away from the stage, and it just shows the great artist he really is.
As I said in the comment above, I admire Matthew's solo work (which is good) and his work in glee and buy the CD if it was available for sale here in my area.
I hope not to have curled over things again and I apologize if I expressed myself the wrong way

it's Ok @Fernanda i bet everyone read it the wrong way but thanks for clearing it up a little bit more cuz i was like the others that didn't read it correctly and for the rest of the people on here JC gave A 1,000 percent on stage and JC if you read this I wish you all the happiness in the world also youre our man and no one can take you away from us fans!!!!!

Fernanda, its really okay. I only said that your comment was harsh because, as great as JC was on said concert, Morrison, (according to the reviews I've read) gave an outstanding show. I just dont want to take that away from him in any way. Because for me to say that JC "humiliated" him was a little unjust and I'm glad you cleared that up. I would rather say that JC's great performance helped make his concert a greater, more exciting show... But hey, i wasnt there! I can only speculate.... :)
Anyway, do you guys think that Morrison would release a dvd of his concert? I'd like to watch the whole thing and give my own review! :)
