Article : tax lien against JC Chasez not a personal matter

'N Sync singer J.C. Chasez has said "Bye Bye Bye" to his tax bill, according to the state of Mississippi, which is accusing him of owing $206,965 in delinquent taxes, according to public records. Chasez, 33, a judge on MTV's "America's Best Dance Crew," is the show's second juking jurist to run into trouble, following judge Shane Sparks' recent arrest.

What's owed: * The state of Mississippi filed a $206,965 lien against him (real name Joshua Chasez) on Oct. 15 in Madison Circuit Court.

His side: Chasez could not be reached for comment. His manager also could not be reached and MTV publicists did not respond to an e-mail.

Update: The lien stems from a business dispute between 'N Sync and Mississippi over revenue from a concert about seven years ago, the singer's manager Eric Podwall said. The lien was filed against Chasez because he was the principal member of the band's corporation, which is defunct. But the tax lien is a corporate matter, not personal, Podwall insisted. The lien is being addressed, he added. [source]
