August 26, 2009 - MLK Park teams up with GAP (Grandparents As Parents) for a celebrity back to school drive on August 29th, 2009 at the MLK Park in Los Angeles, California. GAP, a non-for-profit organization, provides programs and services that meet the urgent and on going needs of grandparents and other relatives raising at-risk children. Assemblyman Mike Davis, cast members from the television hit series "The Game," along with Vanessa Simmons and Angela Simmons of MTV's "Daddy's Girls," have volunteered their time to hand out back packs and gift bags filled with back-to-school items to all the children.
