Go Naked Party

Go Naked Party

Thanx Lesley!

[When asked what he does for fun]
I hang out with my brother and my friends, pretty much, and do anything a typical guy would do. I go wakeboarding, and snowboarding in the winter I guess, and just chill. Movies and all that boring stuff.

Follow up:

[When asked about the Jane issue where Heidi Klum and other models go naked to benefit the charity Clothes Off Our Back]
Yeah, everybody wants to see Heidi naked, man. And hey, you know, she does it - she pulls it off very well. Very elegant about it, she’s a beautiful girl, and I think every guy is kinda like trying to figure out, “Why couldn’t I get that number?” [Laughs]

[About whether men are more comfortable than women when it comes to going naked]
I think it’s the total opposite. I think guys are, like, totally scared of being naked and women have no problem with it, I think, to a certain extent. I mean, even in moviemaking and all the stuff, you hardly see a man naked, but you’ll see women kinda baring their [makes air quotes] assets, I guess. I think, I tend to think that women are more comfortable in their skin, contrary to what other people say about body image.

[Does he do anything naked?]
Um, you know, I’ve slept - I sleep naked from time to time. [In a mock-serious tone] I shower naked. You know, ’cause it’s very uncomfortable when you’re trying to wash yourself with a t-shirt on. But, uh, other than that I’m a pretty conservative fellow. I cover up. I mean, obviously I have a wild imagination, but when it comes to the “do” I’m pretty chill.

[Would he ever pose naked?]
You know what, I don’t want to say “never” because it might be very well done and artistically done depending on the photographer and the set-up. Um, but I will say “No, but not never.” How’s that? Never say never.

[When asked what he’s up to right now]
I’m working on my sophomore album. It’s about done; I’m in the mixing phase right now. I should have a single for everybody in the, uh, in the early fall, which is great. I worked with people like Timbaland, my buddy Dallas Austin, um, I worked with Justin Timberlake, who’s got his single out now - promote him too! And, uh, we did my first single together and it’s called “Until Yesterday,” which is a heck of a soap opera. It’s kind of like a Freddie Mercury-meets-the-Beatles kind of deal, which is different, which is what I love…

This one is just straight-out fun. It’s fun to talk about yourself but it’s also fun use your imagination, and this is…it’s a full-on Jerry Springer record, man. It’s, uh…the song is about your girlfriend getting knocked up with another man’s baby, and, uh, I just wanted to poke fun. It seems like everybody’s either really busy being cool, or being serious, or being sad or whatever, and I just wanted to go out there and not point the fingers at anybody, but just have a little bit of fun. And, uh, so it’s a great tune, man. And it’ll give people a laugh but it’s got a great energy, so people will be able to jump up and down to it.
