Celebrity #3 in 2001 sales

The New York Post spoke with charts guru for Billboard magazine Geoff Mayfield who weighed in on the year end album sales figures which saw *NSYNC hit the #3 spot with 'Celebrity' shipping 4.4 million units and Britney Spears' 'Britney' which sold 2.9 million to land at #14. Mayfield said, "Everyone's anxious to see the pop bubble burst. They don't sell like they did a year ago - but most acts would like to sell as much as they do."
