'N Sync, Monica & More To Deliver 'Music With A Message'

Monica, Wyclef Jean, and Destiny's Child will take part in a Dec. 1 live benefit concert called Music With A Message: World AIDS Day 1999. The concert will raise awareness about and benefit Lifebeat's global AIDS awareness campaign dubbed "Zero Transmission 2001."

The concert event marks the 12th anniversary of World AIDS Day and will be webcast at www.levi.com. Levi's is sponsoring the show and will donate $1 (up to $50,000) to the cause for each person who logs on to the site. The Music With A Message: World AIDS Day 1999 benefit concert will be held at the Beacon Theater in Manhattan on Dec. 1 at 8:30 p.m. ET. Tickets will go on sale Friday (Nov. 19) at 10 a.m. ET and will be available through TicketMaster. Prices range from $35 to $75 each and can be purchased through www.ticketmaster.com.

In addition, consumers can currently take an HIV/AIDS prevention quiz located at www.levi.com. Taking the quiz registers consumers to win original signed memorabilia from popular music artists such as Mariah Carey, Dave Matthews, Lauryn Hill, 'N Sync, the Goo Goo Dolls, and more. Winners will be selected on Jan. 3.

Lifebeat is a non-profit HIV/AIDS awareness organization, and the music industry's response to the AIDS crisis. The organization is committed to promoting a safer-sex environment by mobilizing the talents of the music industry. Lifebeat raises funds to grant to local AIDS service organizations across the nation. To learn more about Lifebeat, check out www.lifebeat.org.
