Omarion: JC & I will settle our fights on the 'ABDC' stage

PW: Do you think the dance background you have makes your opinion matter more in the contestants eyes?
Omarion: Yeah, I think so. My opinion comes from a different standpoint than JC [Chasez] or Lil Mama because I'm a performer. I have to know what people want to see because that's intertwined in all the things I do. I feel like my addition is a very exciting one since Lil Mama, JC and I aren't going to agree all the time. That's a good thing.

PW: Who do you disagree with more?
Omarion: You gotta see tonight's show. There's not just some of the dopest crews, but also a big disagreement between me and JC ... we get into it.

PW: What do you bring to the table that they don't?
Omarion: I feel like JC is the technical one. He hits a lot of points and makes it very clear to the crews how they can improve. Lil touches upon that too, but she talks a lot about what she'd like to see. With me, my voice is the one that's been in the business for real. I try to take a realistic stance -- kinda like Simon's [Cowell] voice. I'm not excited by much.

PW: Has anything so far impressed you?
Omarion: There are some amazing crews -- but one in particular tonight has a specialty that involves timing, where if one thing is off, the whole routine is killed. They are just genius at what they do. This season is going to be off the chain.

PW: What do you think about a JC/Lil Mama/Omarion dance battle? Who'd win?
Omarion: Oh, they'll tell you I would! [laughs] I think I might actually challenge JC the way we get into it this season. I'll just tell him, "let's take it to the stage!"

JC mention

Equinox work out buddies [source]

So, in the past few days, the "celebrities" have been swarming the gym. Maybe it was the Grammys. Or the Oscars. Or the SAG awards. Or maybe it's just because, as my trainer likes to remind me, here in LA it is almost "BEACH SEASON!"

*NSYNCer and host of America's Best Dance Crew JC Chasez is there EVERYDAY. But all he does is the bike. And not too strenuous on the bike. And not the intense bike. The bike where you are fully seated and your legs are stretched in front of you. Lazy but he looks good, B.

DJ : Star 105.5, you know, on the hotline now, a very, very busy man in the entertainment industry, JC Chasez. What’s happening?

JC : Hey, how are you?

DJ : Oh my gosh! I’m, I’m just, I’m shaking. I’m so excited to be talking to you. I grew up watching you on the Mickey Mouse Club, on Nsync and now on America’s Best Dance Crew. You are quite the busy guy. You’re going on your fifth season now as a judge one of the hottest dancing competition shows on tv, America’s Best Dance Crew. JC, what made you decide to be a part of America’s Best Dance Crew?

JC : Well, I mean, first thing is, you know, Randy put together a great show. This is Randy Jackson presents America’s Best Dance Crew and Randy and I have been friends for years and always talked about doing something together and when he approached me with this, you know, I was excited just to be doing something with him because he’s such a great guy. And then, I love the concept. I love the idea. I love the fact that, you know, we’re going after, you know, the underground of dancing, you know. I know a lot of other shows are based on classical training and training and things like this but this show is more about the raw emotion of what it is to dance and self-made, you know, dancers and things like that so they really have to rely on their creativity more than anything else. Not just the technique but real creativity. So that’s why I wanted to be a part of it.

DJ : Well in case you were wondering, America’s next Best Dance Crew, which is a Randy Jackson production by the way, premieres tonight on MTV and one of the judges on that show, I understand Mario Lopez is the host, one of the judges of that show is JC Chasez and he joins us right now on Jack’s Big Breakfast. JC, thanks for chatting with us, man, appreciate it.

JC : Yeah, you know, the fact is, that this show is really based on the talent that arrives, you know, from all over the country and kids just fall in love with these dance crews, their stories, you know, their back stories and then, you know, what they end up delivering on stage. They’re just a great energetic group of people.

About last night : America's Best Dance Crew

Last night America's Best Dance Crew started it's fifth season with a new judge and a semi recycled "audition" round. Lil Mama alternated between looking like a gay chicken and a homeless person adorned with an unraveled body scrubber. But her sausage bangs were pristine.

Mario's package was disturbingly distracting. There was, of course, no mention of Shane, but I didn't expect there would be, but Randy Jackson was there to yell out a giant "YO!" before disappearing until the finale.

Five crews came to show their stuff; but only three crews moved forward. Omarion is boring and lame and sucks as a replacement for Shane, but the audition clips with Hok were great; why couldn't he be the new judge? I don't even care if what he says makes sense; his accent is soooooo purty.

All I know is that it is sad, sad, sad when you look around and realize that JC is now your favorite judge. Hell has truly frozen over. And he appreciates that. Recap coming soon, so check out the archives here to remember last season. [source]
